Overview
IT Data Consulting, LLC (ITDC) is seeking a dedicated Travel Services Specialist to support one of our Federal Government customers with end-to-end travel coordination and program compliance. This role requires in-depth knowledge of federal travel regulations and experience using travel management systems such as Concur. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage multiple travel-related requests in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive travel planning and coordination support to federal staff and leadership.
- Review and process domestic and international travel authorizations, vouchers, and amendments.
- Ensure compliance with the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR) and agency-specific travel policies.
- Act as the agency’s Organization Program Coordinator (A/OPC) for the travel charge card program.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the travel management center (TMC) and card providers.
- Assist with Concur travel system usage, troubleshooting, and training for agency travelers.
- Monitor and audit travel transactions to detect discrepancies or potential waste, fraud, and abuse.
- Generate reports and analytics for management on travel expenditures and trends.
- Support special travel requirements, including invitational travel and witness travel coordination.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience in federal travel coordination or financial operations.
- Proficient in Concur, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), and SharePoint.
- Strong understanding of Federal Travel Regulation (FTR).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Experience in working with confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting federal agencies in a travel services capacity.
- Familiarity with federal charge card programs and audit processes.
- Experience preparing travel-related metrics, compliance documentation, and training materials.
