IT Data Consulting (ITDC) is a well-established national consulting firm, is looking to hire a Java Developer with a minimum of 3+ years of experience to become an integral part of our team on a complex risk analysis and workflow platform. We are an Agile, DevOps, cross-functional team where development works closely with QA, business analysts, operations, and project and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that further the mission of enabling a small government agency to regulate safety and compliance for millions of products every day. The majority of this work will be remote but may occasionally require visits to on-site government client location in Bethesda, MD. Compensation will be based on experience and skill level and will be competitive. Candidate must have strong communication (speaking and writing skills) This job is ONLY available to U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents who either already have or are able to successfully obtain a Public Trust Clearance!

Responsibilities

  • Work with project manager or product owner to analyze user needs and develop software solutions
  • Create software and well-commented code that meets requirements
  • Participate in ongoing operational support of production systems
  • Recommend software upgrades to optimize operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with other developers to design and optimize code
  • Author documentation as required for software designs, operational guides, process and lifecycle descriptions, etc. as needed
  • Perform routine software maintenance

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years development experience (including internships) with Java/Spring frameworks
  • Spring Data JPA and/or Hibernate
  • Core Java and OO concepts and strong knowledge of data structures and core computer science concepts
  • Experience with 3 tier enterprise web application design and development and familiarity with HTML5 / Javascript / JSON / AJAX / RESTful Web Services
  • Experience with SQL and relational database development preferably with MS SQL Server
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps environments; experience and readiness supporting the software we build
  • Containerized software delivery
  • Deadline and detail-oriented, focused on delivering quality code and quality customer/user experience; accustomed to high expectations.

  • JMS / ActiveMQ familiarity

Oracle APPS DBA (Secret Clearance)

ITDC is seeking an Oracle APPS Administrator/DBA who will analyze and resolve general database activities in a highly visible, 24/7, mission critical environment encompassing a large-scale domain. Qualified candidate will work with development, application and production support teams supporting and implementing application changes, database enhancements, and database production to include incident, problem and change management. Qualified candidate will have extensive troubleshooting experience, Oracle quarterly patch install experience, knowledge of Oracle upgrades, and running daily data-fixes.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains all databases required for development, testing and production usage, and perform the capacity planning as required
  • Performs ongoing tuning of the database instances
  • Administers all database objects, including tables, clusters, indexes, views, sequences, packages and procedures
  • Troubleshoot problems regarding the databases, applications, and development tools
  • Creates new database users as required
  • Provide standard onsite support with additional after hours/weekend support as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience as an Oracle Apps DBA with R12 experience throughout all stages of the lifecycle
  • Proven experience with multiple operating systems: Linux/Unix/Solaris/Windows and physical database design

This role supports the mission of the National Capital Region Medical Directorate (NCR-MD) to optimize health and wellness through effective and efficient healthcare practices and service delivery. The successful candidate will navigate the evolving environment of National Defense Authorization Act transitions, audits, IT system implementations, and budget constraints. You will be involved in process improvements, program management, training & communication, and systems integration, all within the dynamic NCR market. Your task will be to provide financial guidance to the NCR-MD, reviewing current practices and recommending best practices for resource management in healthcare delivery. This role is based at the Walter Reed National Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Your professional audit response, remediation, internal controls, and systems integration support skills will be essential in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement program plans and business process re‐engineering strategies.
  • Analyze customer requirements, make sound recommendations, and implement actions for program success.
  • Develop a monthly Human Capital Management Report, including manpower authorization documents.
  • Lead the development and implementation of key programs and/or processes for the organization.

This individual will work as part of a team to manage, aggregate, curate, edit, proofread and post a variety of written content and imagery to a high-profile website. Prospective candidates should be self-driven, thrive in a fast-paced environment where accuracy is imperative, be able to handle deadline pressures with equanimity and be dedicated to producing high-quality work. A “can do” attitude and flexibility are essential, with the ability to work independently yet collaboratively in our close-knit team. This role is a full-time, salaried position. Team coverage hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., in assigned regular shifts. Additional on-call responsibilities outside of regular hours include one week night, plus scheduled rotational weekend and holiday on-call watches. The assigned workplace is Fort Meade, Md., with telework options. This position reports to the Web Content Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in any of the following fields: journalism, writing, producing, editing or communications;
  • Excellent editing, copyediting and proofreading skills with demonstrated expertise in using the AP Style Guide;
  • Experience posting web content using a content management system (includes systems based on Dot-Net-Nuke, WordPress, Wix, Adobe Experience Manager, etc.) and a basic understanding of HTML;
  • An eye for selecting imagery to complement content and the ability to crop photos and make minor edits such as adjusting brightness/contrast, using Photoshop.
  • Hold a public trust clearance or CAC, or be able to pass a security background screening.
  • Can meet all requirements for federal contractors, including drug tests and vaccinations;
  • Authorization to work for any U.S. employer.
  • Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the described duties and responsibilities.   • Process and prep written content before posting, including writing, editing, copyediting, rewriting and proofreading headlines, lead sentences and photo captions;
  • Perform QA/QC checks on all content, including article copy, before and after posting;
  • Process photos that accompany articles, cropping and performing minor color corrections in accordance with provided photo editing guidelines;
  • Research and locate potential feature photos;
  • Upload content into the content management system and use templates to create visually appealing layouts;
  • Provide support to the Web Operations Manager in developing topic-focused feature pages.
